A big drop into late December ended with a nice spike, before the market bulls cranked up again like they had an electric prod stuck up their rears. This kind of behavior is common in the last part of a bull market, as the markets go up, down and sideways, with spikes in both directions. There is very little room to move at this time because we could still break out, and flip to a new record high. The US dollar has already started to implode with gold soaring, and the markets have been going wild in both directions.
Seldom can the markets stop on a dime, and this can produce some wild multiple tops. Eventually they will all need to get sorted out, as with the EWP, the real tops are not always the right tops.
